The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has secured a dominant lead in the recently concluded by-elections, winning 13 seats across the Senate and County Assemblies. The ruling party’s strong performance reinforces its influence nationwide as it solidifies its grassroots networks ahead of upcoming political contests.

According to provisional results, UDA candidates performed strongly in regions where competition was expected to be tight. Party officials celebrated the outcome, terming it a “clear endorsement of UDA’s leadership and development agenda.”
Opposition Parties Register Key Regional Victories
Despite UDA’s sweeping win, ODM, Wiper, and several independent candidates also made significant gains, demonstrating the continued strength of Kenya’s multiparty democracy.
ODM defended its traditional bases and captured several strategic seats.
Wiper Party showed strong performance in Eastern Kenya, reaffirming its regional influence.
Independent candidates shocked major parties by registering surprise wins in contested wards, signalling growing local-level political independence.
Analysts note that the spread of victories across parties reflects Kenya’s diverse and competitive political landscape.
