FDH Bank plc has donated K5 million to the Financial Market Dealers Association (FIMDA) to support the organisation of its much-anticipated annual lakeshore conference, scheduled to take place in Mangochi.
Speaking during the handover ceremony held in Blantyre, FDH Bank plc Senior Manager Alinane Mwenye reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to advancing the growth and development of Malawi’s financial sector.
Mwenye said FDH Bank remains one of the key players in the financial market, hence the decision to support the event.
> “As one of the leading institutions in the financial sector, we saw the need to step in and offer our support,” she said.
On his part, FIMDA General Secretary James Mbingwa expressed gratitude for the bank’s timely gesture, describing it as a boost to the association’s efforts to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among financial players.
> “We are truly grateful to FDH Bank for sponsoring this year’s conference. The platform will allow us to discuss key issues and opportunities that will benefit the entire financial market,” Mbingwa said.
Set for October 17–19 in Mangochi, the annual conference will bring together industry experts, policymakers, and financial stakeholders under the theme “Financial Inclusion Through Digital Innovation.”
The gathering is expected to inspire dialogue on how digital solutions can drive inclusive growth and strengthen Malawi’s financial landscape.
