A Canadian man dies while trying to save 5 – year – old daughter who was swept into the ocean in califonia

Police in California says a Calgary father died after rushing into the ocean to save his young daughter from powerful waves at Garrapata State Beach in Big Sur.According to the Monterey County Sheriff’s office, 39-year-old daughter was swept off the shoreline by waves estimated at 15-20 feet (4.5-6 meters). As he reached for her, both were pulled even farther into the ocean.

The child’s mother also tried to help but was swept in as well. She managed to make it back to shore and survived.Emergency crews responded to the scene for a water rescue, but Hu did not survive. His daughter remains missing as search efforts continue#nmtvworld
